Hello! Joe here!

I'm your typical velcro GSP! My absolute FAVORITE   thing to do is give my foster parents the BEST hugs they've ever   received. I know they're the best because they tell me every time. :)

I'm super energetic, but right now I'm wearing this awful "cone of   shame" so it's hard to run around without running into walls, bushes  or into my foster parents' legs (I swear it's an accident, although,   maybe they'll get annoyed enough to take it off of me... so far it  hasn't worked, but they keep telling me it will come off soon -  whatever that means.) Oh and I discovered what belly rubs are and I  must say, I'm addicted!

My foster parents tell me I'm a pretty good boy because I know to go   outside if I have to use the bathroom and I don't chew on anything in   their house. I can also sleep all night in my comfy doggie den, but   sometimes this cone gets annoying and I wake mom and dad up.

I haven't   been able to play with the other dogs yet because my foster parents   say I need to "heal" a little more. I'm not sure what that means, but   all I know is I can't wait to play with the others! I've met some   other dogs and all I want to do is play with them!

My foster parents   have been keeping me pretty busy, while we wait to be able to go to   the dog park. In the meantime, I've been brushing up on my   ball-chasing game in the backyard, but I have to be careful because   I'm still a little sore "down there" and I don't want to make things
worse.

I've also learned a few cool tricks. I've learned how to sit,
stand up, and shake. I'm also getting better with walking on a leash,   but sometimes I get really excited when I smell something new.

So all in all I think I’m quite a catch! That means there should be a line a mile long to meet my handsome, charming self...so come on
