Hi! I’m Blimpee! I can’t tell you much about life before I came to this cushy place, but my foster mom says I have settled in wonderfully in the time I've been here. She's been calling me "B" because I'm Big, Brown, Bony, and a sweet Buddy Boy. She assured me "B" will soon stand for "Beautiful" rather than "Bony" because she promised to keep giving me lots of yummy food and soft places to snooze until my furever family finds me. 

I’m pretty sure I’m about 18 months old. My foster mom says I’ve got a bit of that puppy gangly walk, and to be honest I don’t always realize how big my paws or how long my legs are! I'll admit to being a bit shy when I first meet you, but give me just a little time and I'm happy to have some scratches and pats. I'm usually a quiet, gentle guy, or so my foster mom tells me.

There are these smaller people here? I think they're called kids? They're pretty nice! They waited until I was comfortable, which I appreciated, and now they’re always really gentle with me. My foster mom told me she's so pleased, because she can tell I am being mindful around them in return. I even enjoy tummy rubs from them, and have been happy to roll on my back to get them. 

I have a foster brother who is a golden retriever. He's a bit of a grumpy old man, but I am really respectful of my elders. As I started feeling better with all this yummy food, I started asking him to play and he does sometimes! We have the best wrestling tumbles and play chase in the backyard. But if he gets grumbly about it because he’s tired, I will immediately duck my head and walk away.

I gladly get in my kennel if you ask me to, especially if you promise me a treat, or it's breakfast or dinner time. I will sleep in there all night without fuss, but prefer to have something to lay on, like a blanket or pillow. I go in during the day too, since my foster mom and dad work. But if you're home and awake, I'd much prefer to be out and about and will let you know that.

I have some pretty long legs, and it's so nice to stretch them out on a puppy bed or soft bit of carpet. So far, my foster mom and dad have given me a walk every evening I've been here. They said they're keeping them a little shorter than I'll get in the future, since they really want me to gain weight. I walk perfectly with only the occasional tug when I smell something interesting or see a bunny. A quick reminder by my foster mom or dad, and I'm right back where I need to be. I refuse to yank or zig-zag, that's for silly puppies. I'm quite a dignified young man, thank you, and I walk to one side of you all on my own.

My foster mom says out there is a very lucky family indeed who is looking for someone like me, and when they find me, she says there's no way they won't fall in love with me immediately.
