Boy this girl is such a trooper! Tampa is stealing hearts and taking names. She is doing so well in her foster home despite lots of crate rest and limitations. We are so proud of her and kudos to her foster family for keeping her calm despite her wiggly goofy self.
Tampas fracture is healing well and she is growing fast. This girl is going to be a blast to watch when she gets the green light because she is a social butterfly ready to romp.
Docs say a few more weeks and she just might be ready to make someone Holiday merry and bright...will that be you?
11/13/2014 Good news update -
Our sweet Tampa who was hit by a car and left for dead just 3 weeks ago, has been battling a nasty bone and tissue infection in her broken leg that prevented repair.
Her foster mama and brother have been taking awesome care of our patient and today was check up day.
X-rays show the bones have started healing and the infection looks to be under control so our friends at Animal Hospital on Teasley Lane were able to finally place a splint for the fractures.
Tampa still has a long road with more antibiotics and rest before we will know a more definitive outcome, but this is GREAT news friends!
Remember Tampa is only a pup still, so she has tons of energy and will
Thank you to those who have stepped up to help with her care.
We are still looking to raise another $400 to cover the current treatment. If you'd like to help support Tampa please visit:
